We do this by working through a set of questions whose answers allow for the appropriate policy direction, migration roadmap, and SOA implementation to be planned and established. As you can see, these represent questions that will lead to fundamental architecture policies and decisions. Additionally, it is extremely hard to de-couple the architecture policies and decisions from overall SOA Life Cycle Management.
